High Flyer Creatine Monohydrate
High Flyer Creatine Monohydrate puts your cells on fast charge, driving smart women to find the strength, firepower, and resilience to push on. One scoop contains 5g Creavitalis® creatine monohydrate powder, made by AlzChem in Germany. It’s the Bare standard. Super-fine, micronised powder for easy absorption and strength that matches your determination. This is how we power on.
Just one scoop (in your High Flyer pouch) gives you 5g of Creavitalis® creatine monohydrate, a super-fine micronised powder made to clinical-grade standard. High Flyer has an ever-so-slightly bitter taste that disappears when you mix it into your favourite hot or cold drink. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Formulated for women who do all the heavy lifting in and out of the gym, helping them to fire up their muscles, fuel their workouts and keep pushing.
Listen to your body. It can take a little time to adjust to creatine. In the first couple of weeks, you might feel a bit bloated or even slightly nauseous. This is normal. Creatine draws water into your muscles, which, on the one hand, will give you the definition you came here for, but can feel uncomfortable for some at first.
We recommend starting with a smaller dose. Try 2.5g for the first week or two and see how you feel (some women in our team found this worked well). Once you feel happy, and your body is reacting well to High Flyer, work up to 5g. Research from the International Society of Sports Nutrition suggests that 5g daily is effective and well tolerated by most people, with common dosages ranging between 3-5g.
There's also new research exploring the potential cognitive effects from creatine, linked to its role in increasing energy availability in your brain. However, this relates to much higher doses.
We love Dr Rhonda Patrick, the scientist and health educator. If you want to learn more about creatine, you can visit her information pages on the topic, or for a quick burst of information, here’s a 5-minute YouTube clip featuring Rhonda and Dr. Stuart Phillips exploring creatine.
You’ll learn what works for you. Adjust to what suits your body and your goals.
It’s always good to check with your doctor before taking creatine if you:
- are on any medication, such as blood thinners
- are about to have surgery
- have health concerns or conditions

FAQs
Creatine is a compound made from three amino acids, glycine, arginine, and methionine. Your body naturally produces a small amount, and you can also get it from foods like red meat, seafood, and chicken.
Inside your cells, creatine is converted into phosphocreatine (PCr) — a super quick burst of regenerating power supply for ATP, which delivers energy to where you need it the most. If you're doing a lot of exercise, up to your eyes in stress or have suffered an injury, your body uses creatine (and PCr) very fast. Taking on board more creatine gives the cells more PCr, a bit like giving your body its own fast-charging power pack.
Creatine has been well-researched for its benefits among serious gym goers and professional athletes, which explains why most of the data features men, and why the sports industry's marketing has, historically, done the same. We're now learning that women have 70%-80% lower creatine stores than men, and the latest research suggests creatine might help more than just your muscles, including cognition and energy production in the brain.
Men may have been the first in line to take creatine, but the research suggests that it's women (and our hormones) who actually need it more. We have 70%-80% lower creatine stores than men, likely because we generally eat less meat, the main dietary source of creatine.
For women who don't eat much meat, and especially for vegans and vegetarians (diets that contain almost no creatine), supplementation can be particularly beneficial.
The research says no. A meta-analysis of 29 studies found no evidence of weight gain in women taking creatine. Any early shifts in body weight come from water retention (which is temporary). If you're resistance training while taking it, you might find an increase in lean muscle mass. So keep at it!
Creatine isn't just for (male) gym-goers. While it's often associated with building muscle, most adults over 18 will find it beneficial. Supplementing creatine increases muscle phosphocreatine (PCr) stores, the fuel your body uses to regenerate ATP, which keeps both your muscles and brain stocked with fuel.
Creatine is one of the safest and most widely researched nutrients, with over 1,000 papers supporting its safety. However, there's not enough research for children and young people, which is why we recommend creatine for adults only.
Creatine is one of the most researched nutrients, and there have been no reported negative effects associated with creatine supplementation during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in women looking to conceive when taken at regular doses. Animal studies have shown that creatine can positively affect fetal development, and emerging human research suggests potential benefits for maternal health. We'd always recommend speaking to your healthcare practitioner first if you have any concerns.
